Free Health for a Change webinar examines how AMA tracks social determinants of health, scheduled March 12
The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky‘s next “Health for a Change” webinar is titled “Beyond the Exam Room – How the AMA is Tackling Social Determinants of Health.” It will be held Wednesday, March 12, from 1 to 2 p.m. ET
Social determinants of health describe the social, environmental and economic conditions that influence a person’s health, such as income, education, housing, employment and access to health care.
The free event will highlight how the American Medical Association seeks to address health determinants through strategic investments, partnerships and advocacy, reverse the troubling rise in maternal mortality in the U.S., and share important lessons learned and what they mean for people and communities in the commonwealth.
