UK, King’s Daughters to build new medical center in Greenup County

A new King’s Daughters Medical Center will be built in Greenup County, the University of Kentucky announced Thursday, Feb. 20 at its board of trustees health care committee meeting, Monica Kast reports for the Lexington Herald-Leader.

Kast reports that the project will include new medical offices, space for a family care center and an urgent care center. It is estimated to cost $7 million. The location of the new facility has not yet been finalized.

The plan was approved by the full board Friday, reports Kast.

Kast adds that a $3.5 million plan to improve the King’s Daughters Health Park in Ashland was also approved.

King’s Daughters health system joined UK HealthCare in 2022.
