Family Medicine Associates of Flemingsburg is 1 of 19 national recipients of Anthem’s Care Provider Recognition Program

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kentucky has named Family Medicine Associates of Flemingsburg as one of only 19 national recipients in its inaugural Care Provider Recognition Program.

The program honors excellence in Medicare patient care.

Family Medicine Associates of Flemingsburg was selected based on key health measures for care delivered to Anthem’s Medicare Advantage members, according to a news release. These metrics include preventive care screenings, immunization rates, chronic disease management, medication adherence and several other health outcomes metrics.

“We are proud of this achievement and committed to advancing healthcare excellence for the communities we serve,” owners Dr. Michael A. Boyd and Dr. Amanda M. Applegate said in a joint statement.
